The Famagusta Dental Association has participated at the “Healthy Athletes” Conference Day of the Special Olympics Federation Cyprus, that took place at the “Evangelos Florakis” Multi-gym, on April 29, 2026 in Nicosia.
Four Members of the FDA have participated on the voluntary screening and oral and dental checkups of all the Special Olympics Athletes.
The Members that participated were
Dr. George E. Avraam (FDA President),
Dr. Kiriakos Ioakeim (FDA Member),
Dr. Eleni Fouli (FDA Member) and
Dr. Elena Santi (FDA Member).
We the Famagusta Dental Association would like to thank our Members for volunteering for the noble cause of helping the children Athletes of the Special Olympics Federation Cyprus that represent our country successfully abroad.
The selfless act of many more members of the FDA will continue with free dental treatments following the April 29th dental and oral screening for all Athletes of the Special Olympics Federation Cyprus, always according of the Cooperation Agreement that was signed on November 6, 2026 at the Grand Opening Ceremony of the 2nd International Congress of the Famagusta Dental Association between the President of the Famagusta Dental Association, Dr. George E. Avraam and the President of the Special Olympics Federation Cyprus Mrs Maria Vasiliadou.
Special Thanks to the National Director of the Special Olympics Federation Cyprus Mrs Eleni Rossides for her important role in this agreement to initially take place.
