A very touching day, not only for the members of the Famagusta Dental Association, but for all Famagustians.
Honouring Dr. Takis Pelekanos, the Famagusta Dental Association showed that we do not forget those who offered to the city and province of Famagusta but also those who served the medical and dental profession and society in Cyprus with a lot of zeal and determination.
Dr. Takis Pelekanos is nothing less than that and even more.
He was honoured for his contribution throughout the decades, among others, for 12 years as President of the historical Club Anorthosis Famagusta F.C., 5 years as 1st elected member of the Parliament from Famagusta and 6 years as Minister of Health of the Republic of Cyprus.

Dr. Pelekanos was not able to attend the event due to serious health issues, but he accepted the honours from the President of the Association Dr. George E. Avraam on the following day.
A truly great day for all Famagusta that shows that Famagustians never forget…
We would like to thank our 3 sponsors for this event. Without them this could not have been implemented.
Our two main Sponsors, Gregoris Hadjigregoriou Ltd and M.S. Jacovides Group Cyprus for their generous contribution as well as the Rotary Club of Famagusta for their kind support in honouring this great man of Famagusta.
We would like to thank everyone once again for their presence at the dinner.
