Dr. George E. Avraam, Vice President of the Cyprus Dental Association and President of the Famagusta Dental Association, represented Cyprus at the European Regional Organisation of the FDI – Plenary Session which took place in Almaty, Kazakhstan on May 1-3 2025, a participation that ended in great success.
Dr. Avraam had the chance to meet with all the delegates of the other European countries, among them the President-Elect of the FDI, Dr. Nikolai Sharkov from Bulgaria as well as with the past President of the FDI, Dr. Tin Chun Wong from Hong Kong and enhance the good collaborative relationship between our Associations and furthermore our countries.
Through the course of the two plenary sessions on the 2nd and 3rd of May, several important issues were discussed, concluding with the election of the new President-elect of the ERO of the FDI, Dr. Paula Perlea from Rumania, the new appointed General Secretary of the ERO of the FDI Dr. Doris Seiz from Germany, the two new members of the Board, Dr. Oleg Gladgov from Bulgaria and Dr. Ariel Slutsky from Israel, as well as the takeover of the Presidency of the ERO of the FDI by Dr. Edoardo Cavallé from Italy.
Dr. Avraam had contact with the newly elected members of the Board of the ERO of the FDI as well as with the former President Dr. Simona Dianiskova from Slovakia, discussing the role of Cyprus at the ERO of the FDI.
